Club code
These are not rules for the referee. They are rules for us, on the pitch and off it.
- Play for the team and your team-mates.
- Play to win, but not at any price.
- Play to enjoy the game and to improve your skills.
- Treat the team's kit and emblem with respect.
- Respect your coaches and your captain.
- Treat team-mates and opponents the way you want them to treat you.
- Respect your opponents, and always greet them and thank them for the game afterwards.
- Accept the referee's decisions whatever you personally think, and never speak to the referee unless asked. Only the captain may ask questions.
- Welcome new and younger players and their families with respect and friendship. Show them at every chance that they matter to the club.
- Match dates are announced before the season starts. Plan your time so you can attend as many as possible.
- If you cannot attend a match, tell your coach at least a month in advance.
- Tell your coach and captain if you cannot arrive at the agreed time before a match.
- Injured players should come to the stadium when they can to support their team-mates, and help organise home matches.
- Every player should know and respect all members of the club, from players and coaches to management and sponsors.
- Our sponsors and partners matter a great deal to us, and we thank them at every opportunity.
- All club members help promote the businesses of our sponsors and partners, and choose them over their local competitors.
- After a match, players are expected to stay with the team for at least an hour for food and a debrief.
- Sometimes the club will need your help, with the pitch and changing rooms or with food and water after a match.
- It is everyone's job to make the club more family-oriented, so invite your family to matches, training and club events.
- If the club has given you a team tracksuit or T-shirt, wear it before and after matches.
- Bring clean socks and boots to every match.
- All men's team players pay membership dues. The money is spent on the players' needs during the season.
- Verbal or physical violence, or continued disrespect towards team-mates, opponents, the public or referees, is unacceptable. Anyone who is a negative influence will have to leave the club.
